Does it have something to do with wind chill factor?
Cause if it does, -45F with 60MPH Winds is WAY below the the Windchill risk of Frostbite.

EDIT:You did bring of facts about frostbite, at first I thought the frostbite for Winterbite, but then it didn't make any sense that way. So I just figured it was the frostbite you get from wind chill.
EDITEDIT: That would also explain your avatar as well, it looks all white and frozen.
EDITEDITEDIT:5 minutes is also how long it takes for you to become frostbite according to this chart.
