Author Topic: RIFT Free to play  (Read 11781 times)

When did you last play? They made the world big for their fast patch releases.

I hated Multiclassing in this game, ruined it for me, even though it makes the game for so many people. I wish it was the same amount of souls into full classes like some DAoC stuff.

Just my 2 pennies

I got the game a month after release... Havent really touched it since.

Not because its bad, but I think I'm just burnt out on MMOs.

i always hated the loving gay quest system in every mmo

guild wars 2 was the only game that actually had the "quest" system bearable.

if rift still has a trillion quests then i still wont be interested to log into my brothers account and play again

It has pre sets now if that's any good. I don't think any decent player would want to use them though.

The questing system in most MMO's is one of those things you have to get used to. I remember my first time playing WoW, I despised the questing system, but within an hour I had gotten used to it.

i wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't have 1-2k quests.

and thats just from what you're required to do if you don't like pvp or instant adventures i think.

also i spent a full day and night trying to get used to it.

...it never happened.

if they want my money then they need to keep the quests fresh and new for at least 1 half of the game.

It's worse with storm legion, NPC's generally don't give you Kill x amount of x quests, Because almost every monster automatically gives you a quest to kill x amount of them when you kill one.

are you stuffting me

They don't count as quests and they give you a special currency for items though. Plus none of this is needed. There's more zone in storm legion then you can level though.

still counts as quests in the stuffty quest system book.

also there goes any interest in trying out the game one more time

Storm legion is level 50+, You would quit before you even got to it. I think you can disable automatically getting them, I wouldn't know since I want them.

Oh right lets turn you off more, At level 50+ it's 2 million plus exp to level but you're getting Planar Attunement
points at about 4-5 per level, You keep gaining the points once you're level capped.

doesnt each of those quests give 20k exp?

it looks about as quick as high end wow

Eh, not quite.

I wish I could just be like a super powered Necromancer.

also IIRC Necromancer has no summons, which bugs me. I could be wrong though.

I remember playing through closed and open beta, then buying the premium pre-order and 6 months of game, but their payment plan was just a bit too much and I started getting distant from the game. I loved the mage and rouge styles though. I should try this F2P, I'm really excited to get my dual-headed turtle mount back. Thanks for the heads up Tails <:
