To be fair I think this is overreacting just a little, I mean if really had intentions of doing anything, do you REALLY think he'd tell you he knows your IP so if something did happen you'd know how to blame?

It was really uncool of him to do that. Luckily, he can't really do much of anything with it. At least, not for long. If you're really worried, you could call your ISP to have them change it.

If you've ever joined a blockland server (or any game) the host can find your IP.
If you've ever been in a skype call, anyone there can find your IP.
