at least proteus is better than dear esther

Dear Esther is a visual novel.
Proteus is an exploration game.

Lets be honest.

They're both Walking Simulators.

Same. And as I said I hate and never used screensavers.
But I would enable the power saving feature and put Proteus as a screensaver just because it's awesome like that.

Or maybe as a live wallpaper?

You guys are crazy, Proteus is lovely to walk around and listen to.

stuff happens if you explore and wait enough, i've also heard there is a game element later on

dear esther has a terrible story and just doesn't look fun to walk around in

My main issue with Proteus (and Dear Esther) is that I cant see myself "playing" them for more than 10 minutes at a time. I went back and walked around in Proteus for another 20 minutes, I saw some chickens, it rained, but that was about it.

I played Dear Esther for about an hour, but the story was boring and the scenery became repetitive.

Damn these games.

i might post some below average keys for you guys later tomorrow so stay tuned

Are they steam compatible?

Also did you know you can actually win proteus? If you find stones arranged in a line follow them till you find a stone circle, at night it will change and if you go in the middle you change seasons. When you reach winter instead of changing seasons you
fly away from the island instead of changing seasons, like, game over dude.
And then you get some small settings in the options menu under extras which let you change how much does a day take etc.
