I decided to go out to Bright Annex for a break and a nice drink. Felt good to be outside for some reason. Once I arrived in Bright Annex, I drove around and randomly picked some coffee shop. It seemd to look like a nice place. People were inside, but it seemed to be quiet. Probably because it was the morning. Everyone was tired and getting coffee to wake up. I walked inside, ordered your average-everyday-coffee, but it turned out that they were going to have to make some more and that it'd take only a couple minutes. This was good because I would get fresh coffee. Oh well. I turned around, and sat down about a table away from some guy who was talking to a man sweeping. Average, everyday time.

I was loving starving because I hadn't eaten for like, a day. I decided to turn in at a little diner to eat. I left my guns in plain view, but took the Tec-9 with me, incase anything happened. I tuck it inside my coat and order a table. I see some guy talking to like, a janitor a something. Wait a loving minute, I know that janitor. Oh stuff, I left that guy in the dust. I cover my head and look to the side, hoping the janitor guy doesnt notice me.

(to self) "Why is everyone looking at me..?"

"Thank you for mentally scarring me... I have never before seen a man rip out a bullet with his teeth..." I mutter, now doing pushups again. "Keep going, we'll get faster as the pain fades." the man says as he watches the news. "Hey you're on here. Prison break? Nice." he says as he watches. "Should have expected." I grunt, starting to struggle with my pushups. "Need a break? No? Good." he says, not even making eye contact.

I began to feel tired for the first time in months. Staying up two weeks straight isn't exactly the best thing i've thought of. I got enough money for the hotel room now, though. Pretty soon I heard the girl at the counter go "Uh, number 5 your order is ready." I got up and walked over to the counter. "Thank you." I took the coffee and paid for it, then walked back to my seat and took a sip, then I saw a newspaper on the table by me, walked over, noticed some man who seemed to be talking to the janitor quietly, tipped my hat to him and the janitor, then took the newspaper and walked back over to my seat. Boy, this is the life, I thought.

I also looked over again. It's that loving cop! What's next, the guy I shot going to run in here? It seems all the people I messed up are coming to haunt me. Well, I didn't mess up the janitor. He got coke and a uzi.

For once I smiled. This was a good time. My life was going in the right direction, a good hotel room that allows cats, and now I had a time to relax and go on with my own mind, no commands, no shooting, no nothing. Just peace, I looked out the window and saw a man, I didn't recognize him outside in the parking lot, tipped my hat to him smiling, and continued to read my newspaper and sip coffee. What a nice day.
Then again, I thought. I did just get shot yesterday. Well that lowered the mood a little bit, remembering the bandages around my back. Oh god, put that away, unless you fall from a second story window you should be fine. I focused mainly on my newspaper and the people in the coffee shop, it was quiet, okay, and normal. Nothing wrong here, nobody with a gun. I began to calm my thoughts down and went back to drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

The room seemed sort of drab, like everyone had been in a gunfight or something. I slowly walked over to the jukebox and put on the song 'Alley Cat.' That'd be sure to lighten the mood.

I looked up from my newspaper as the music came on. I haven't heard this song in a while. It was pretty nice and lightened up my mood, smiling again and looked over to the janitor and nodded as if to say "Thanks." then took a sip from my coffee and looked through the newspaper. Industrial looked like it was gonna get a bit of rain while everywhere else seemed to be bright sunshine for the rest of the week. This was quite the day.

I looked at the cop then the janitor. I signaled the janitor over.

I got up as the song ended and walked over to the jukebox putting on some random song and walked back to my table, picking up my newspaper and smiling as the song played, taking a sip from my coffee, while humming along with the song.

warning: childhood may overflow

"NOW PUNCH ME!" he shouts, still blocking punches. "FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, STOP BLOCKING!" I yell, still getting blocked. "NOW, PUNCH!" he shouts, throwing his jaw punch again. My world went into slow motion. The fist zipped past my face, and as if not under my control, I uppercut my teacher, forcing spit out of his mouth and onto my arm. "Ew." I say as I pull away. "You got spit on me." I mutter, wiping the spit off my arm. "Good job... I guess..." he says, holding his jaw. "You okay?" I ask. "YOU KIDDING ME? YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK FOR SOMEBODY TO ACTUALLY PUNCH ME?! I'M PROUD!" he yells, giving me a high five. "YEAH!" I shout for no reason. "NOW GET OUT THERE AND PUNCH YOUR FOES IN THE FACE!" he shouts, pointing at the exit. "YEAH!" I shout, running out into the rain. "What a richard..." he mutters under his breath.

"Sheet man... is it not raining outside? Won't we drown..?"

I realize the man from earlier in the cafe signaling to me to come over. After whispering with him, I go out back and get my uzi. I hide it on me and walk back in quietly.
