I'm glad Microsoft learned from their mistakes before they released the console, but something startled me when I learned the news: I play games on my computer and own an Xbox 360, but rarely play it, only to play GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption if I'm bored, and have drifted away from that seeing as I didn't want to renew my Xbox Live subscription; and I was following the PS4 and Xbox One press releases, mocking Microsoft's policies and siding with PS4 even though I didn't have any plans to purchase either console, but when Microsoft released their changes to the Xbox One I subconsciously thought "Oh, I should consider buying that."
Of course I still won't buy it BUT:
What if it was Microsoft's plan all along to create such an unbelievably strict console, then come out with their new lenient changes to reach out to non-console gamers like myself, and secretly implant "Hey, they made the stuffty thing not stuffty, you should look into that" into our minds. Clever clever.
