working out is a lifestyle, you're not gonna get an ass on your chest after 2 weeks
I've been in the gym consistently for about a year and a half now, but I haven't focused on any muscle groups, I was just switching off and overall building myself up, mostly just trying to gain weight.

Now I want to start getting into really buffing up, but I'm not sure how to do it correctly without tearing my body apart

hypertrophy rep range != strength rep range ya dig
after a google search of 'hypertrophy' i now understand

guess i shouda payed more attention in weight training class lol

The weight training class I took in high school didn't cover any of this stuff.
It just covered form, told people not to deadlift because we'd hurt outselves, and kinda explained calories in vs calories out.

So it's possible they didn't even cover it in your class.

I just started working out again, good thing is it doesnt take long to see results on my body.

wtf did you go to a crossfit convention?

The pool was closed for two weeks for yearly maintenance so I haven't been swimming in that long. Opened back up this morning and I just felt so sluggish and exhausted quickly during my workout. I hope it comes back to me fast it's only been two weeks and that's not very long. I was going everyday in the summer; only missed two days.

nope, the PE teachers didn't know stuff lol.

thank god, football is having in season lifting. its in the mornings which im not too pumped about but better then nothing. ever since school started the only exercise i get is football practice, and while thats hard, its mostly just running the whole time (for me at least). i have "weight training" class but its total BS, only one other kid in there that is taking it to actually lift. plus the teacher hates me and we have to his stuffty workouts. all we do is 3-10 for squats, bench, and curl and then some gay jump rope and jogging stuff

Got temporarily kicked off the football team. They said I can't practice or play until I get doctors clearance. Went to the doctors a week ago and he thinks its a gluteal strain. Going to PT Friday; ill hopefully spend a week there and hopefully ill be back and good to go.

It's weird some days I feel amazing and other days I feel like its gotten worse :(

i took like 3 week break, started again last sunday. This week was amazing ʕง ͠ •ᴥ •ʔง
