Author Topic: Xbox One Backflip - Microsoft Ditches the DRM [Confirmed]  (Read 8142 times)

What a stupid roosterbag. Hundreds of thousands of people trying to access the same webpage at the same time is very different than hundreds of thousands of people trying to access 300,000 servers.
eh
they should still be able to hold the website up, I mean a couple of minutes is okay but their site was down for a while

also pretty sure it was mostly a joke

Also: Joke's on EA. They only cancelled the online passes since Xbox One said no to used games and such.

I'm sorry but what about all the other platforms? PS and PC still existed buddy. Not only that, they've killed/are killing online passes on existing games already.

I kind of hope the Xbox One fails. It makes it more likely that every Halo game after Halo 2 will get a PC port.

Either way, I'm not paying a loving monthly subscription just so I can play a game with friends.

one year for fifty dollars is a good deal..

But charging $60 a year is clearly the work of greedy national socialists.

I don't plan on buying this either

Originally, I was going to, but my birthday is coming up in 10 days. After that I'll have enough money for a nice PC gaming rig.

I don't know if you understand.
It's pretty clear that EA only cancelled online passes because they thought Xbox was going to say no to used games and thus charge a fee for them or just cancel them all together (which was what online pass is all about).
Xbox is the one that EA wanted most (but I'm assuming they expected Sony to follow to) because more people play EA games on Xbox than PlayStation (see: sports games).

But charging $60 a year is clearly the work of greedy national socialists.
PS+ has way better value than XBL. PS+ gives you tons of free games.

but really, it sounds as if they're going to re-work the whole thing... which implies that will take some time, and the PS4 may be first out the doors

this should be good

That is only 1/3 of their profits, so I don't see how that's a good business move, if that is your rationale. And you neglected the fact I also said they have removed/are removing online passes from existing games. Hop off the EA hatewagon.

That is only 1/3 of their profits
but it's not because like I said - more people play EA games on Xbox than PlayStation, same reason why they have a partnership now :P

And you neglected the fact I also said they have removed/are removing online passes from existing games.
that's because they've already made their money from those, and they wanted some good PR for once

Hop off the EA hatewagon.
I'm sorry for having opinions that a lot of people have, would you like to hop off the breathing bandwagon? Didn't think so. (bit of an extreme comparison but seriously, just because I have the views that a lot of other people have doesn't mean they're wrong)

Anyone else ever question why the checking in every 24 hours thing was implemented in the first place? If they can just take it away...what was it for...?
