Author Topic: Competition: Win a FREE RTB dedicated server  (Read 21508 times)

I've started working on a theme park.

It will have:
- Fully functional rollercoasters
- Waterslides
- Normal slides
- Sport fields
- An Arcade with working games

It uses this

I'll post a topic when the project gets thurther along.

Alright, perhaps this brainstorming thread is quite a nice way to come up with new innovative ideas but I do not understand how people can enter this competition by simply spittin out every little idea they got in their head. If RTB would choose a cool idea in the end it would also mean that you must go through with making the idea into the real thing. People are just entering with random ideas that they actually haven't even started working with. Will RTB help out in the making of these smashing new ideas? Because I'm doubtful that the idea would come to life just because there's someone hosting for you. If the concept is nonexistent without hoster it is also with hoster.

Entry

My entry is a project I've been working on for a while. At the moment it is not finished but a lot of progress has been made. As you can see my entry has left the conceptual phase and can be regarded as a product.

TDM Bunker Assault

"Oo boohoo, another TDM. Man TDMs are so unoriginal. Come up with something new."
Shut up.

This is not some Afghan stuff where you just hide around in a rectangular arena that absolutely lack any sort of tactical TDM sense. No, this is a map exclusively made for TDM. It has been designed thoroughly by myself (moi) to fit the actual standards that a rough 1v1 TDM actually should have.

Make your way to the inner sanctum of the bunker by using any of the multiple routes. Take detours to sneak up on your defending enemy or why not take the front door? Take time to build up a strategy of defending your beloved bunker every round. Place yourself in tactical locations and bottlenecks for optimal outcome. Support your team.

- Lots of multiple routes to explore and master.
- Time to plan the round before it starts.
- Ultimate co-op TDM. Work together for success.
- A 'capture the point' map but would work well with other sort of games too.
- Low brickcount for easy gameplay. No detail, but neat features and effective shapes.

Finally a cohort project ;P i support you on it, i would like to play it for sure.

:O
Sleven insulted afghan!! that isn't gonna work well with ephi since he helped with it!

-snip-
will people ACTUALLY be cooperative though?
and we're not big on "tactics"
we're just a "point and shoot" team

Yeah I reckon those flaws. People will be able to report non-cooperating teammates, don't know if it should be an actual addition in the game itself where people can report after a finished game. Reporting can be about anything really. Concerning tactics.. it's not a must, it's more of a glorification in my words. However, hopefully, I will make it so there will be dead time before a round starts where you can't operate, only through text which should be positive for strategy making. Hopefully each team should have an experienced player in it.

I'd show more, but I can't get a server running (coincidentally ...) but I can still upload pictures.
