If I buy GTAV from amazon for PC will it be redeemable on steam? I thought before I had read it and it said that it required steam activation but now it doesn't.

I have no intention pre-ordering the game. I'm going to wait for the player reviews and Let's Plays so I can physically see what the game is like before I buy it.
