It's confirmed stage HAPPEN

There should be a way to download part of the game like a week before release if you have pre-ordered it. That way once it comes out, they release some update where it unlocks the game that takes like a minute to download, that way servers are more clear for people who are buying day 1. Also so when you go to play it, it's already to go.

how many days prior to game release is preloading possible, is it different for every game? will we be able to preload gta v a week before say?

2 days is what I last recall

Wasn't aware. I knew the xbox did but didn't know steam did. I don't preorder games.

-forget nvm the image didnt load-

heres the catch
everyone who bought the game is going to be downloading it at the EXACT same time
on the EXACT same day
so that wouldn't put a pounding on their servers for downloading wouldn't it?

It's going to be like any other game launch.

duh

this happens a bunch of times
i have almost never seen a massively preordered game actually be 100% lag free for the first few weeks

A really brilliant post on the GTA forums that explains why I'm so suspicious of GTA V screenshots.
totally agree. Half the "improvement" is just proper staging. Methinks it'll look exactly like PS4/xbone with a some crisper textures and denser car/ped traffic. Of course in motion it'll hopefully be worlds away from console performance.

trevor was in better call saul :o
I just watched that episode and holy stuff
was it actually the voice actor or just an incredibly trevor-like actor

Yep. That was Steven Ogg.
