Oh yeah GTA III I 100%ed it recently on the Xbox. Good game, but it's like one of the blandest in the series.
It's really basic gameplay wise, doesn't have any character or personality and they forgeted up the controls in the console ports. There's no way to strafe, control the camera or aim your gun in the PS2 and Xbox versions even though they could've easily implemented it through the various unused buttons and right brown townog stick. It's an idiotic design choice and makes the gunplay super bad, especially during rampages. Also forget the paramedic mission, I'm pretty sure I died inside when I played it.

It took me like 20 tries to do the "Sayonara Salvatore" mission because I was over thinking it so much. I like making the missions as intricate as allowed within the parameters of the missions. Ended up succeeding by throwing waves of grenades blowing up the mafia cars so they couldn't escape.

The funny thing is that the console versions aren't half assed ports. The PS2 was the primary console for development. The lack of freeaim for non-rifles and the lack of strafe for rifles was just something Rockstar apparently didn't see as problematic until San Andreas.

also wtf paramedic is plenty easy on portland. just take a chill pill and drive carefully, leadfoot.

In before the cars cost over a million dollars each, the yacht is ten million, the clothes are half a million, and the apartments are also a couple million.

Not to say they're half-assed ports, they're actually pretty good framerate issues aside.

It's all fun and games until the one of the Mafia members pulls out a shotgun and blows you up.

it's out boyzzz

yachts:
the orion - 6 million
the pisces - 7 million
the aquarius - 8 million

cars:
10 new cars 2 helicopters turreted limo is 1.6 million

houses:
you can buy the old apartments again at the classic locations again like eclipse towers and pick from a range of premade interiors they are labeled 'custom apartment' and go for about 1 million
doesn't look like you can customize the stilt houses (ranging from $450,000 - $800,000) although i haven't bought one yet

oh also you can own 5 properties now

Well you gotta do it BEFORE Sayonara Salvatore... I don't know why you wouldn't, considering infinite sprint is nice to have (yeah I know you can just tap), along with those health pickups.

on the topic of GTA 5: hell yeah. hope this update is as interesting as it looks. i know i've been waiting for houses in the hills for a long ass time...

It's dumb that the new items/vehicles aren't available on Singleplayer, same as the vehicles related to the Heist update.

It means you can't test out the things at all before hand, and instead have to blindly pay several million for a car which might actually be quite stuff.

It only does this on current-gen and PC. PS3 and Xbox 360 had all the new vehicles added to the garages for testing prior to them losing the ability to update.

this is also why i'm waiting for the new update on the hacking injector thingys.
