Grand Theft Auto Megathread - OP 3.0

While she doesn't care about the violence, crimes, and all that, girlfriend is upset with the game for it's overloveualization and disempowerment of females. I was like "Oh its not really that bad, they try to-" The opening then starts with a girl screaming being held at gunpoint and being tossed around by male bank robbers. She looks at me like "oh really?". I then for the next fifteen minutes am trying to defend the game while in the background my characters are joking about beating up the woman at the bank, montages where every female shown is overly attractive with big breasts and bikinis, and a bunch of other stuff. There isn't even a female main character introduced in at least the first 30 minutes (my ps3 ylod'ed out at that point so we didnt get to keep playing but still), It just became too difficult to even argue that they were doing it ironically. Its like they don't actually understand how this subconsciously undermines the role of women in the society and casts them aside to some subservient irrelevant role.

I like how they fixed traffic, and a car seeing you hurtling down the avenue while pulling into the intersection would actually stop and not totally get in your way like they have no common sense.
But yeah, a game doesn't need big boobs to be fun.

you can still mess around after you beat the game.

and honestly, this is the first GTA game that makes me feel bad about what I do. It's that realistic.
For example, I was waiting in a stairway for a few cops that were looking for me, I killed one and another shouted "JOHN!" in a panicked tone. That forgeted with me.

then again, it's just a game. yipeee

GTA games get their fame by causing controversy with repulsive and disgusting content. Another reason for boob and oppression of females is that Rockstar tries to dig out the most disgusting, pathetic and trashy people in society and make them every day people in the GTA universe. Its parody of what Europeans think America is and at the same time an example of the most horrible people in existence.

There are not spoilers here:
There are three alternate endings you choose from. Devin comes to your house and prevents Franklin with the option to A: Kill Trevor B: Kill Michael or C: Deathwish:

In option A, you meet up with Trevor where he tries to convince Franklin to assassinate Michael. Franklin then proceeds to pull a gun on Trevor and he drives away in his truck. Franklin chases him down and broadsides Trevor's truck right into a tanker full of toxic waste. Franklin shoots the waste to ignite it and kill Trevor.

In option B, Franklin calls Michael to set up a "meeting." He proceeds to call Trevor for some help, but he wanted no part in it. After chasing Michael around for a while, Micahel ends up at the top of a very tall power plant full of winding staircases. Michael nearly falls from the tower and that's where Franklin is presented with the option to drop or save Michael. Michael still falls to his death even if you want to save him.

In option C, Franklin calls Trevor and Michael to meet up and have one massive showdown against the government and Merryweather at a large foundry. Franklin brings Lamar as backup. After taking out all the enemies, they regroup and make a master plan to kill Stretch, Agent Haines and Mr Cheng and his gang. Trevor kills Haines on a Ferris wheel, Michael kills stretch and his gang at the basketball court and Franklin kills Mr. Cheng and the Triads at Pacific Bluffs beach. After performing those three tasks, you switch to Trevor and kidnap Devin after taking out a Merryweather team defending his house. Devin is thrown into a trunk and Trevor takes him out to the cliffs near Mt. Chiliad. Franklin and Michael meet up with him and they roll the car Devin is inside of down a cliff into deep water. This is where the three split up and go their separate ways.

loved the ending and payment though haha

that's not a bad thing, people hyping a pc port will encourage rockstar to work faster on it. if fewer people care about it, they won't work as hard.
