A common thread in the Mental Oriental clan is that I have the fastest supercar (and get to every objective of every mission
first), Steve and Jun are the bloody biker punks, and Maxwell has his stupid Armoured Kuruma.
Recently, I discovered
Broughy1322's vehicle stats sheet, which made it 9000x easier to compare information between vehicles to decide on which ones I want to purchase. Yes, I could just read the unencrypted handling.meta file directly, but that's a pain in the arse. I don't care much for the lap times, but the concise/basic stats from the handling.meta file are exactly what I need.
For fun, I decided to have a look at some of the specs of our favourite vehicles, and I noticed how BROKEN the A. Kuruma really is. With a max
theoretical speed of 140MPH (which is almost as fast as some supercars), All Wheel Drive,
NO LOSS IN GRIP OR SPEED WHEN GOING TO OFF-ROAD and a weight (which
only affects collisions and does not impact acceleration or speed) of 3200kg, it was no loving wonder why Maxwell could zip around the map with no issues and ping away every one of our vehicles like they were nothing (the X80 and RE-7B are both roughly 900kg, and fly away if Maxwell so much as scrapes me).
Hell, my Guardian, a big bloody ute that weighs 600kg more, can barely bounce him away (while also being launched back myself), thanks to his faster speed and lower body shape imparting more mass at the time/point of collision. It would take one of the 10,000kg+ vehicles to do any sort of meaningful impact to that Kuruma.
As Jun keeps saying, why the
forget did Lester think a Hollywood escape on bikes would be better than taking the bloody Kuruma?! forget the gameplay, this is just ridiculous.
