Host Announcement:

I've noticed that morningstar is the only person to have any natural disaster affect his country.  So for the next few days, nations across the globe, regardless of government or economy type, political affiliations, race, color, or loveual orientation will be afflicted by natural disasters of noteworthy intensity, and I will also attempt to vary the type of disaster that afflicts the world (There won't be earthquakes two days in a row).  And then it will be perfect fishing weather.  I think that the first round will have hit pretty much everyone, but if not, those least affected will have their turns.

Today:
- An earthquake strikes New Zealand (what morn posted).
- Another earthquake occurs on the southwestern coast of South America.
- Yet another earthquake strikes in the Atlantic.
- A fourth earthquake strikes in Indonesia, resulting in a tsunami.

The numbers are the hours until the ensuing tsunami reaches your nation (lines are one hour apart), and color indicates intensity of the tsunami/earthquake.  The last one is self explanatory.  The names of the actual quakes are in the site information, so you can look them up if you choose.

Enjoy!

The AC diverts massive amounts of resources to setting up temporary residences for earthquake/tsunami victims that will collapse without crushing the average Joe to death in the event of aftershocks but still provide adequate shelter (Like they made in Haiti).  Groups are organized to clear wreckage, rescue people trapped under buildings, find/attend to the dead, and distribute aid in the form of medicine, food, clean water, toiletries, &c.  Any resources that are left over are diverted first to the quickly created "Aftershock Fund" and then to foreign aid prioritizing Pact members, specifically Atsnia since it was right on top of an earthquake.

OH stuff, Iberian Peninsula is forgeted. Plethora, can I evacuate citizens to Africa?

The AC will do its utmost to help Atsnia through this time of trouble, although it too has gotten some of the brunt of the Atlantic quake.  Bring your people over.

The Gibraltar chunnel is deemed unsafe for use due to the quakes.  In no places has it collapsed completely, but in many places water is leaking in and there is dramatic structural damage.  Although it is probably repairable given adequate time and money, it is too dangerous to use at the moment and not important enough to repair immediately.
