The influx scenario would work very poorly on behalf of the economy, even if you switched to a government with safety nets that are out-of-proportion extrapolated.
To imply that interracial marriages were so steep that they were a factor in change implies that they must have been forced. The US census in 2011 reported ≈4.5 million interracial marriages, out of 74.4 million couples, and the US has been ethnically diverse for a long time, and thus they had time to warm up to the idea.
