Author Topic: Nations at War - Closing Time!  (Read 238744 times)

How do you know they were happily being assimilated?  Since when does that ever happen anywhere, especially when concerning a nationalistic people.

The internet is a thing.  Word gets around very quickly.  And as I keep referring back to the UOU holding onto W. Erinaum, word would get out quickly.  The Erinamese nationalism is not to be taken lightly, just as on-par as Japanese WWII nationalism was NOT to be taken lightly.  Saying that 55% favor for Erinamese independence is really out-of proportions lenient.

They were not taken over, they were given.

And they were taken over by one of the best-governed nations in the world.  I understand your nationalism point, but you aren't giving UoU enough credit either

Plethora respected the Abdullahian revolt, even though he opposed it.

Very similar scenario.

I gave UOU 45%, this with the assumption that only 10% of the population is UOU, meaning that tons of Erinamese citizens lent their favor to UOU, a somewhat excessive amount in the time that passed.

Anti-UOU sentiment has been along for a while, btw.

Very similar, except for the fact that the UOU is the most liked nation on the planet and the AC was still getting some heat over the overpowered Triumvirate thing we had going back then.  What exactly do you mean by respected though?  That I was willing to talk peace and relocation?

That you weren't shutting out the option of rebellion or relocation by host power.

That would be abusing my power, something I've tried to avoid.

Also, we never heard anything about Erinamese people doing themselves in in droves when Erinaum dissolved.  Just saying.

Not completely.
Since the passing of the late Ivek XL, the Erinamese people, especially those in E. Erinaum, have been down with their missing leader being gone.
To be fair, W. Erinaum has always been somewhat disconnected and distant.  E. Erinaum was full and friendly until the Zjuket incident, which created a mistrust between the E. Erinamese and UOU law enforcement procedures.

Okay, so I'll be giving the people running the less active nations a buzz to ask them to just quit if they won't post frequently enough to keep this afloat.  Anyone who's posted since things picked back up is secure from removal unless they desire to quit.

I happen to know that morn will be away for at least a month, so Plexia is going into stasis until I can contact him about his intentions regarding the RP upon his return.  Yes, I know that that's a long time to be away and that he has a good bit of land, but this is exactly the sort of thing which stasis was created for, so that people don't have to worry about losing their nation while they are unable to post, so that's how it's going to be, at least until his intentions are known.

Plans for improvements to TPSP orbital and lunar structures, and the creation of a Mars Base reach completion, and after a final going over of the plans, fabrication is authorized and begins shortly thereafter.

Slevokxia has launched 5 out of 15 planned satellites, with several required more funding before being launched.

mlockha (Atsnia), Muslim (Empire of Iceland), and Morningstar (Plexia) have all quit the RP.
Morningstar donated his islands to me and left some of "Aussie" to Lancelot.  mlockha donated Iberia to me.
Candy Apple intends to stay.
Mikoyan and Rockinboy have yet to respond.
All told, there's enough land for someone new to start out, so if you can, get a friend to join the RP and help contribute to the chaos.

What was that you said about pixel limits?

Holy stuff this RP started dying when it reached Page 200.

Radicals in both Erinaum's begin burning UOU flags.

Iveke Næm S. Premein travels to W. Erinaum for unknown reasons.

What was that you said about pixel limits?
By rights Utah was over the limit for a time as well and nobody pointed it out, and the rule was never really enforced, or even added into the rule list.  So to heck with it.

Death is for the weak.  Go away vulture!

Can we poll that option then to make it an official rule?

Pretty sure you justify a lot of your actions by deciding against tentative actions that you yourself originally put to limit yourself in the name of fairness.  I'm pretty used to seeing that scenario.
