Working Elevators!

why wold you need cars you could yust put one elivator atop one another
(this would also mack a cooler efect inside the elivator)  :)

Elevators will have a floor and a ceiling.  I decided against making elevator boxes / cars, giving players as much freedom as possible to have the elevators look like they want.

Lets say someone made a really thing elevator, like 1 stud. Could that be used as the elevator from the movie?

You need to make this elevators a plate that you can  build on and any brick that is placed on the elevator will move with in. Maybe using the desctrocowand code for detecting if bricks are placed on it.

you could make different models like you did with the doors but if you do you
should make one just like the video with no top or sides for lets say
the part that lifts planes on an aircraft carrier or something

Yeah, I might make it an option to have no ceiling on the Elevators.  To prevent hackish behavior in passengers, I've made it so that you're unable to jump or jet while in the Elevator.  When you exit the Elevator, it will give you the same jump / jet privileges you had prior to entering.
