Author Topic: What's your idea of a brilliant, perfect, tragically nonexistent video game?  (Read 3675 times)

Yeah, and you can go to Detroit!
No, actually I'd go to Jacksonville, FL.

like.. have you ever wanted to take a stuff on someone's lap in the hospital?
Now that I think about it.

Yes, I'd love to do that.

It's actually a very satisfying-sounding thing.

I'd do it.

1. A WWII RTS that takes place in a ton of battles in WWII, it's like Red Orchestra with that type of realism, but a RTS. You get to command the nations, America, Japan, England, Germany, Italy, and a bunch of others. Everything is destructible and it comes with an editor so you can make your own armies.

2. A god game where you can make your own land, or go to a prebuilt one and raise a civilization, you'll be able to do some things like make a few buildings, but after that it becomes a pure ant-farm while you have the power of causing riots, fires, and many many disasters that the people will react to. Like, if you destroyed houses, you would see replacements being built somewhere else or if the people weren't rich enough, they would end up homeless and have to rely fully on their job to help them. Also, you get to choose between many many timelines, like medieval times to our time. Also you can go into build mode to where you can build houses for sale or apartments and many more if you want to help your little ant farm.

Would be perfect if you have a free-creating mode where you don't have to get money or mana to create stuff, that's my prob with those games.

As long as it isn't that weird-ass travesty that was Metal Slug 3D.

And how exactly would/should Metal Slug be "tastefully" reimagined? Like more appropriate to culture/women/politics/etc? Or more akin to being more tasteful to fan demand and the first 3(4?) games? Just curious is all

Also, I'd list some stuff, but with the future prospects of MASSIVE games like Planetside, Planetary Annihilation, a stuffe ton of remakes and spiritual successors I think I can be content with this :D

Oh wait, a brilliant, perfect, tragically nonexistant game I need to list?

Well, I guess a Bethesda RPG that is given proper Q&A testing and NOT on the Gamebryo Engine would be nice. And that Bethesda would stop screwing Obsidian over.

A new Blood game. But nooooooooo, Activision says Monolith can't do anything cool anymore ;_; Now confined to make COD map packs for eternal cycles of blood moons.

A new Pikm....... oh wait, one did come out already.

A new Behemoth game :D

A new Command N Conquer game that doesn't suck/will suck

A new S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. Oh wait, that's stuck in Hell too. Well, hopefully Survarium doesn't suck.

A free-roaming Metro game :D

'tastefully reimagined' in that, in true metal slug tradition, the entire game is a clusterforget of surprises and non sequitrs from start to finish

like you know how the opening level of metal slug 3 looked like it could feasibly be just a really cartoony side scrolling shooter and then giant crabs appeared and everything sort of snowballed into this mass of bullets and explosions and what little sense you could make out of the game was completely invalidated by the fact you're too busy shooting dudes to care

that feel, but consistent throughout the game and slightly streamlined for modern consoles (or possibly just PC)

Loadout but with equally customizable vehicles, player perks, and map destructibility.
oh and a first person option too

EDIT: oh yeah and BRINK remade by Activision/some other decent FPS company
