Congrats on the BFA. What other trades would you like to do?

Also good luck with the Mont Blanc thing.
I've done printshop/typography stuff in the past, I can sell my oil paintings too. I've done a lot of drawings and pen&ink too. But I think metalsmithing and jewelry is a way to make my bones and pay for everything else. I'm looking into Yale for grad school based on advice from mentors.

Mont Blanc would be cool... hell any company that sells writing instruments for 20k has gotta be cool.

May I see some of your art?
As for the yale thing I wish you best of luck.

I know a girl who is going to ASU this year as well!

oo nice. :D hurray for sun devils.

Good luck, get ready for 89% study, 10% work, and 1% sleep :p

I only attacked the "cause I'm bad at it" reason because that was the only one you stated.
I don't know about Count, but when I go to college, I'm either walking or biking to my classes. There's no reason to take a car when you might be stuck in traffic and be late when you could get some extra exercise~
Or, you could just plan your route based on traffic conditions. I haven't walked or biked anywhere since I got my car. In my first year of college I likely won't have a parking spot though so I have no idea what I'm gonna do. Maybe I'll just ghetto it on the street somewhere and hope I don't get robbed. Walking for transportation is really unfathomable when you have the option of sitting in a comfortable seat, listening to your favorite tunes, and driving somewhere.

OT: Grats on starting college. I can only imagine the novelty of living under your own supervision at your own residence (even though you share it) and not dealing with parents on a daily basis. Good luck with your room mate, and be friendly if you see your neighbors on move in day. You my as well be as outgoing as possible, everyone there's new and probably very few people already have a friend group to associate with. Plus, then you get invited to all those dorm parties ;). Oh, and get on your DA's good side. If you see him/her, introduce yourself. I've heard many a story where college students get completely forgeted over by their DAs. That's pretty much all the advice I've got for you, enjoy your new home!

You do know you could use an MP3 player, right?
Walking is healthy and free exercise. Why would you give something like that up?

Thanks a bunch. I plan to be very outgoing. I hope to get to know my ra/ca/da too. And you are right, everyone is in the same boat as me, so i may as well just go for it :) and yeah biking is funner than driving for me. Even though the weather is crazy over here. Also, no gas bills!

Yeah, I didn't say you can't listen to music while walking. It's just not as enjoyable to walk to music as it is to sit back and relax and enjoy your music. And walking being healthy and free exercise is kind of irrelevant. Bludgeoning people is also free exercise, and by extension it could be construed as healthy. Being healthy doesn't make something inherently better than the other. You could come up with a billion other reasons walking is better than driving (zero emissions, don't have to pay for gas) but I would rather drive two miles than walk two miles any day of the week. Walking is bothersome, uncomfortable, takes forever, boring, tiring, depending on heat makes you sweat, and is most of all extremely inefficient. In comparison, driving solves all of that. It's easy, comfortable, fast, engaging, and most modern cars have climate control.

Also, you can't do this while walking ;)

Are you overweight? (A serious question)

Why not bike? Also, you make it seem like walking two miles will make you pass out. I'm sure you wont be doing any marathons soon.

Nah, I'm severely underweight. And idk, I've never been much of a biking person. Last time I rode a bike with a friend I forgot how to ride and almost ended up crashing into traffic because I forgot you have to lean when you turn. And yeah, after two miles I'm pretty exhausted. It's about a 2 mile walk home from my school and I've made that walk maybe five times in my highschool career, it takes about 30 minutes and by the time I get home I'm exhausted, frustrated, and bored. In contrast, now that I drive home I get home about four minutes after leaving school. It takes longer to walk from the classroom to my car than it does to drive 2 miles home.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Kentucky.

I just started online classes at Wentworth IT. It's a lot more work than you'd think.
