To make it clear, I would say around 75% of all accounts were purged over the past couple days. This is essentially Disney's last 'forget you' before they shut down the servers and redirect you to Disney's main site or to Club Penguin while they take down the web domain.

If you are getting a message about administrators working on the servers, your account has been purged. All sites pertaining setting up new accounts after the login server was shut down on the main Toontown website have been taken down, so unless Disney manages to spare the game, you will not be able to play the last 2 weeks or so of the game being online.

If:

• you did not make your Disney account on Toontown's website when the login server was still up;
• you did not have any toons on your account;
• your account was made after the login server was taken down;
• or, if you did not originally hold a membership,

then Disney has purged your account and figuratively flipped you the bird.

OP, I would recommend you put this in the OP to make it clear.

idk why you're getting upset i'm willing to bet the TOC you agreed to in registering allows this

oh yeah i just got reminded by resontel's post

a couple days ago i had only like 21 laff points and decided to go into one of the towers with some other guys

and then i realized they all had like 65 laff points and one went "I think this is too hard for you..", but with teamwork n' everything (one of them kept healing me whenever I got low) i eventually made it through with kinda-full health

i will never forget that moment

Everyone wants Jesse Schell (The original lead devoloper) to buy Toontown. Here's a string of text that was written by Jesse:

I just have a few questions. I don't know if you will revisit the website after posting this but I hope that you do and respond to our questions.

1. What other games have Schell developed? You have earned a great deal of respect from me as of late and I want to support Schell games.

2. If you or another company manages to get TT or decides to remake the game a good way of making sure the community doesn't die is to release weekly or bi weekly snapshots of what you've done in game this week. Or just a preview of aspects of the game.

3. Do you really think that it'll take years? I mean that is a long time. Months or weeks. No problem!

4. As others have asked do you know anything about the Downtown Toontown rumour? Is that what you meant by 'the future of Toontown and whether other companies will be involved' I know you couldn't reveal much. Though a subtle hint would be nice

5. Finally if Toontown was to rise again. Would we keep our toons? Or not?

3. Yes, it might take years. It took me three years of pitching the idea for Pixie Hollow before I could get Disney interested, for example. I know it seems like forever. But, sometimes we need to miss things a little bit in order to properly appreciate them. I feel pretty sure that if Toontown were to get a real solid overhaul, it would take at least a year of development time. Keep in mind that it took about three years to get it from start of development to launch.

5. I am sure that the folks running the game will carefully back up the database, in hopes that one day, the Toons can rise again. Whether that will actually happen is another matter, but putting in terms a Cog can understand, there is real cash value in the Toon database -- and Disney knows that. Think of it as a long term "Frozen Assets"

Notice how he says "I can't talk about it" when referring to Downtown Toontown (the rumored upcoming MMO [There is an upcoming Disney MMO BTW])
