I don't see how your statistic even implies motive. From eyeballing the chart, it seems that on average approximately 2/3 of donations go to the republican party. So, yeah, insurance companies tend to support the republican party more. That's for reasons you already stated, that the republican party holds more profit for them if in power. There's a reason that they donate to the republicans more than the democrats, though. If the parties made political decisions based solely on how much money they're getting from donors, they may as well funnel money into the democratic party to convince them to terminate Obamacare so there's no discussion about it at all.

I went out of my way to attack you because you made a comment that annoyed me, a straight attack to an entire party with absolutely no reasoning behind it.
