so i finally got around to flushing all the fluids in my car today and listen to this.
when i first bought the car it was pretty obvious (and a very common problem) that the first and third gear synchros were clearly out of time. the dealer (obviously not to be trusted) stated that while the car had been sitting on the lot the synchros had gone out of time. so i was under the assumption that the dog teeth hadnt been ground too hard.
well that was total bullstuff
there was nearly a full layer of metal fragments when i pooled the transmission fluid.
(by the way the transmission is currently being rebuilt)
