GuS I gave up on the search for a new engine so I sold it for scraps.

I was looking at other cars to buy. Would this run well on dirt roads without breaking? I got a rental corsa hanged on a small hill of dirt once on the road and got a rental clio's gearbox stuck with mud once so I began looking at older cars.

This weekend I go over to my grandparents', so I'll send some pics of the car all cleaned up. For now, here are some before pics. Couldn't resave through telegram so they're screenshotted. I'll try and crop them later. Sry. :P

That car looks so nice, the red color fits it very well

Ikr! My dad says they should have junked it years ago, but I still see plenty of potential in it. I absolutely love 70's-90's cars.

The Pontiacs were cool until the 2000's.

yep

they had a unique style that differed from the rest of gm, when they pretty much assimilated in 2002 or so they stopped being cool

it does look nice, but the one thing that really bothers me with pre-21st century american cars is in many cases if they didn't have a v8 they were grossly underpowered. like, that high-trimmed 6000's best engine option was a 2.8L v6 making 140 hp whereas your average everyday e30 325i w/ 2.5L i6 made 168 hp or ae92 corolla w/ 1.6L i4 made 115-135 hp

Thoughts?

its a car.

but in all seriousness, getting a vw is a commitment. replacement parts are very expensive and hard to replace but theyre well built and the golf is a hot hatch. i just wish they kept the back more boxy instead of adding all those sloping lines

Oh I forgot to tell, this is a VW Gol which is a car that only has been made in Brazil, they're very common here so parts aren't overpriced.

jesus theres like a qwerty keyboard on the steering wheel... also those green light up alert thingys whatever you wanna call em are amazing hoyl stuff
