yeah, it was a gift from my uncle for the day i drove and now here i am and i can't afford gas like that
stuff. If you're not yanking my dong I'd drive out there today to come get it and sign it over. Assuming it's in good shape that is.

ok guys question time

what is this actually for? by "this" I mean the third second and low gears
I was messing around and I noticed that putting it in third made the car accelerate noticeably faster, but I didn't go down to second or low
so what purpose do they actually serve?

The low gears are for helping you climb steep hills.  My dad has to use it when driving our big van sometimes.

but the car automatically lowers the gear when it needs to, and in small cars like mine, I've never had a reason to use those!
maybe for if you're towing something

I think the battery's dead or something, I don't recall what the actual issue was. Other than that it's pretty much untouched.

im getting ready to pull the motor out of my celica to fix the timing belt because it's normally impossible to acess, While I'm at it I'm going to flush out the engine and paint all the black parts black again. This thing sat for 10 years and most of the black parts are grayish.
I also want to fix this annoying dent in the fender that pisses me off whenever i see it, It wasn't even me who did it, but it's really unsightly. hopefully come spring it will look, sound and run awesome again!(image heavy)

Oh my loving god, LMFAO. The 370z has a manufacturing defect where taking turns too hard can cause the fuel to be unable to be sucked into the engine, and it happened to me today at the worst time. Well, I guess since it only happens under extreme g-forces, it's always a bad time, but still.

Also, my friend was driving 'cause he's better at donuts than I am. I'm in the passenger seat.

I went to my professor's house way out in the sticks for a cook out and got my truck up to 110 mph on the country roads. Then on the way back we went trolling through town and on the highway with my friend's Buick Century; he has a train horn equipped to his car.

Got any pictures?

I usually only use the 2nd and low gears when I'm descending hills in the winter... makes it less sketchy because the engine can't just keep gaining speed and your brakes obviously cant lock up nor can you start sliding if you're not using your brakes.

Lol poor Celica.

Could someone tell me why those in the US mostly drive automatics?

um more like why doesn't everyone else? it's easy

I just feel I have more control in a manual

My problem with manuals is that I can't get my feet to work how they have to so I can change gears.
