I want this so damn bad but the rwd and low height just won't do for west mi winters. if I had my own place with the space to store another vehicle I'd get an old cherokee or outback etc. to go with it for bad weather, but sadly i'm stuck with my family until my income goes up
It looks a lot like my dad's '94 318i.

I want this:
http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/5368047776.htmlThe ad is kind of unclear, but apparently it has an M3 engine and needs a new transmission. This was the same case with the one we have now. The clutch was blown apart and the car couldn't go into first gear. We got a used transmission from a junkyard and I think it drives okay now.
I would still rather have a 540i. They are faster and look better IMO, but I would take a manual E30/E36 any day.
Also, I thought I was going to be late for my orthodontist appointment today. There were cops and construction along the way so I was slowed down quite a bit. Anyway, I was almost there and was coming up on a stoplight that had just turned yellow. Now in my area we have signs like this placed before some highway stoplights:

The light normally starts flashing before the stoplight turns yellow. It was not flashing when I passed it. Half a second later though the stoplight went yellow. I was kind of surprised, and did not want to be late, so I floored it (I was doing 60 so nothing exciting happened). Yeah, bad idea, the light turned red as I was in the middle of the intersection. I most likely would have gotten a ticket if a cop had been there, after surviving 3 speedtraps on the way there.
tl;dr I think the timing was off for a stoplight sign
