nal, i think you've been here long enough to know we're stupid as stuff.

I think you confused "we" with yourself

also that's not nal

Da fuq does this have to do with Blockland on Steam?
FOCUS, PEOPLE!

blockguy is nal
nal is rotondo
and rotondo is everyone
duh

There is a total of 17 letters in his key and a total of 36 combinations per letter which gives us 612 possibilities.
It takes about 3 seconds for me to do roughly 1 combination which means it would take a little more than 2 hours to finish.
He is most likely just spoofing a key just to watch everyone go crazy on it.

One strategy would be to get a friend of yours to work on the left side while you work on the right side and it would take you guys have the time.
You could do it with an autohotkey macro if you wanted. It would take like 5 minutes then, maybe less, unless Badspot put a limit on key-attempts.

or you could use code
to get this result:

Challenge finished: There is no possible solution. He lied.

Indeed. You still think that that's nal's account even though it says blockguy on the avatar.

or you could use code
to get this result:

autohotkey == coding

what do you mean by code? torquescript? now that i think about it, there is probably a function that is called to authenticate keys that you could play with.

Write c++ code that tries all possible combinations against blocklands local key validation function.

Get 2 possible results, auth server rejects both.

While you guys were deeply discussing this thing of no importance, I decided I'm definitely doing the trailer as soon as my schedule permits.

The discussion derailed.

Anyone think we'll see the Steam release by Christmas?

This weekend is booked. I'll possibly have time to make the trailer on Thanksgiving weekend, next week. If there's too much I have to do, or (this is very likely) it takes longer than that to finish it, I might have to say it won't be done until after finals, past December 14. After that date, I should have no obligations. If the trailer is the last step of Greenlighting, we should see it there by Christmas.
