Ill give maybe 1 or 2 weeks before subpixel gets hijacked
There is a total of 17 letters in his key and a total of 36 combinations per letter which gives us 612 possibilities.
It takes about 3 seconds for me to do roughly 1 combination which means it would take a little more than 2 hours to finish.
He is most likely just spoofing a key just to watch everyone go crazy on it.

One strategy would be to get a friend of yours to work on the left side while you work on the right side and it would take you guys have the time.

36^17 is not 612.
nvm, your idea is right

Either way, it's 32 combinations per character and we already know the real first 5 characters.

God damn it I just got done doing the first 5.

Too lazy to do it any further.

...I kind of forgot...
Why do we want it on Steam so bad? Other than easier friends lists, we hardly benefit in terms of gameplay.

It must be nice to forget how Steam will vastly increase the audience that Blockland is noticed by.

Blockland on Steam means a larger audience.
A larger audience means more people who might buy the game.
More people who buy the game means more money.
More money means Baddy gets vacations to Hawaii and an early retirement.

...Oh yeah, updates and game support too I guess

I can't wait for it to come to steam, keep up the good work.

Just hoping I have the cash to re-buy it when it launches

Seriously, what the forget
How do you people still not understand the concept of key migration

I lost my key back in the summer and was unable to recover it.

Ok, my bad

I could literally just post my key with one letter off: AAM9Q-AHFV-Q54B-NKGX and nobody would be inclined enough to find it out.
ok challenge accepted

Write a program that does it for you, first check the key tail for being possible and send all possible ones to the auth server to get the real one

However I have to go to school now so if that key is real I'll be the last one to finish probably

wait wouldn't it be 17 factorial to find out the combinations? i'm pretty sure you do.

No, that's used for different things, like how many ways a list of items can be randomized. There are exactly 10 characters in the key that can be permuted based on the key stub (the first 5 characters), and if it's only off in one position then the maximum combinations is 32 * 10, or 3200. If it's one of the characters that can't be permuted, then you can get the key instantly.

I suggested he take it down, but he didn't..

Challenge finished: There is no possible solution. He lied.
