There has been controversy over whether you (or someone else involved in development, Rotondo included) are going to make the trailer, or if you're implying that you're looking for someone else to be making the trailer. It would be nice to know, since some people don't want to go into it due to the possibility that you won't be using a community-made one.

It would be nice to know, since some people don't want to go into it due to the possibility that you won't be using a community-made one.

I would much rather delegate the trailer to someone else than do it myself.  I offered to pay eksi to do it, but I don't know if that's going to happen because he's kind of weird about it.  

One thing I had thought of is to do a community trailer in a "channel flips" style - where everyone contributes a 5 second or less video and just paste them all together with a half second of static between them.

I think this has been suggested before. How about hosting an official community competition for the best trailer? You could encourage collaboration by letting teams work together to share the rewards. And it doesn't even have to be a monetary prize, I'm sure a great majority of the community would be willing to do it for a digital cookie on their profile (as long as it was an AUTHENTIC digital cookie, maybe give them a usergroup that puts a star under their name or something).
