recipes can be given out. that's fine. but there's a benefit to keeping it for yourself, and it's not immoral to do so. also someone could replicate your "recipe" pretty well if they knew the featureset.
Usually the type of add-on we're referring to that shouldn't be given out is new game modes. Some are fine to give out, but others thrive way better if they aren't.
Except I'm sitting here telling all of you that I have no pride stemming from my coding abilities.
oh oklike that knock-off of the rising lava thangand why would they thrive betterusually it's the community who manages to mess up a gamemodelike mafia madnessand your name is $trinickuhhhhhhh
you just answered your own question. mafia madness sort of flopped after its release because people wouldn't host it correctly. several people contested that it was better when it was privately hosted by the mod maker.i never made a connection between his name and torquescript
yes but that's because the people who hosted it were idiots and the blame cannot be placed on the released-ness of the gamemodei know you didn't make a connectionand such
and your name is $trinickuhhhhhhh
by making it public, having people mess up hosting it was inevitable.
The prefix to my name was simply because I ran out of other symbols, not because it has a relation to global variables.
why not 2 or 3 like everyone else
or just "trinick"
Coders are serious people that never take a jokeVisolator
they're pretty much all richardweedsprobably the only exception is space guy but he seemed to disappear into limbo at some point in the past year or so

Did he once whine that badspot stole his idea for events?
have you tried trinick in lowercase
You guys need to meet Trigun. He's just about the nicest guy I've ever met, and the best programmer I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. No, it was the exact opposite. Space Guy made his events after Badspot announced events coming in v9 to sop up love and attention from the community. Hence the "don't rip off my add-ons and release half-baked versions" in this post http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=130102.msg2883431#msg2883431I haven't actually tried it, but I assume that usernames aren't case-sensitive, as then I could make an account called "The resonte!" and impersonate you.
