All I could say is, get about 4-5 friends to walk around the neighborhood. They should act very naturally when the kids are creeping up to your house. Then, when the kids ring the bell and slam the door, your friends can sprint and beat them up or something. Do you have a veranda? It's a nice idea to station a sniper buddy with an airsoft barrett 50 cal or something ;)

they come anywhere from 8PM to 2AM. it just won't work walking around for 6 hours every night. and if there are people around they won't do it.

and it's not every night, either. sometimes it's once a week, sometimes it's two days in a row and then nothing for two weeks.

and I can't beat them up because I'm 18 and they might be minors.
