
aight so because of the new style I decided to redraw Kurt's portrait, and I did. I also decided to soften the colors in the HUD about, including the blinding pink and the pitch black text and shadow
This is the complete version of the top left corner GUI mockup, with the shield bar, magnus bar, gun type and ammo, amount of minns collected, the abilities and gadgets selectors, and the hydration hud.
I've never mentioned hydration before because I recently came up with it, and it's simply a stat that determines if you can run or use the dodge abilities. Your hydration consists of energy and thirst. Thirst determines if you can run, and energy tells you if you can dodge. These go down very slowly through time but the time of it's decrease can speed up if you run and dodge a lot. Thirst can of course be regenerated by drinking water bottles that can be purchased at vending machines or shops around a level. If your thirst is full then your character keeps the bottle and saves it for later use. Water can also be found inside boxes around levels. As for energy of course, SODA is what pumps you up. These can also be bought in vending machines, and boxes that contain it can be found around rarely, but it obviously depends on what level you're in because you're not gonna find a box of soda in the desert. These two only refresh one part of your hydration, but one cup of coffee regenerates both of these. Coffee can be found on VERY RARE coffee making machines that are usually in levels that take place in residential areas.
So that's how hydration works
Either way I haven't gotten the motivation to work on the game itself because I just can't bring myself to do it, but I'm in the mood for spriting pretty stuff, the hud for example, and the first upcoming miniboss
