well its more like i just dont like anti aliasing but i can see where you're coming from

kikai shinzou feels weird but looks nice for the most part

the sword is really awkward and you have to completely dedicate yourself to using it, and there's also no fidelity to it (which is interesting to say, considering tetsujin), but the animations are fluid and the particles are neat

you have entirely too much screenshake and postprocessing because outside of the top layer of clouds i cannot see stuff when i've been hit or even when i've delivered a hit through the screen having some sort of fit

So do you think it should control differently? Or do you think that you should have another weapon? The whole point is to rely on your sword.

Hm... okay. Should I do something like, remove the red screen? Or is it just the fog that's bothering you? As for the screenshake, I'd like to keep it as is.
Thanks for your input, glad you liked the game! Hopefully I'll be able to improve.

im saying the sword itself is clunky

when you use it, you can't move, but the sword also doesn't reach very far, but enemies both move very quickly and can attack you while you're cooling down with the sword

it's unresponsive, basically. it's like the lowest level castlevania whip from the original games

what i would do is give the player more flexibility with the way they can attack, like smash bros, and increase the enemy count but each enemy's general effectiveness to match

the fog is fine but the screenshake is well beyond over the top and so pronounced that it's actually impractical: the reason screenshake is usually relatively understated is because you still have to be able to see what the forget is going on through the screenshake which is hard to do when all the sprites on the screen are jumping like 64 pixels every thirtieth of a second to somewhere else and the red overlay that shows up when you get hurt is so thick you can't see what is happening while you need to be scrambling to get your heart back. everything dissolves into this impenetrable cloud that isn't fun or challenging as much as it is debilitating and infuriating

I seriously cannot agree with you.
The red overlay I can understand, but everything else... I can't agree.

Okay, I tried to make it more like a heart beating.

How's this? Should I just remove the white completely?

i like how you put the pulsating emphasis on the arrow, but i think it should be a little smaller

Here were the edits I did:
snipped

Criticism of any type would be golden.

I've got my PC back so I'll be posting here a lot. The lasers were a little thing I did for fun too. Anybody have any ideas for how to utilize my little robot smoking assassin and give him a little story? I've been thinking about some sort of stealth based game with other aliens and robots.

You'd basically be some hired assassin going through shady and crowded cities to kill more shady things! You'd also have a wide arsenal of weapons including western styled revolvers that shoot lasers.

don't wear headphones

also it seems that my mouse sensitivity is forgetin ridiculous and i never noticed before this point

how can you not notice your high mouse sensitivity when your missle loving teleports around?
do ICBMs just appear out of nowhere in your state or something?

also, is there BGM or is it just the missle's exhaust white noise

there's bgm

and, furthermore, the sound was just the bgm

I'm currently making a song in Famitracker for a game.
It sucks so far.

The song (now songs) are finished! The game starts out really basic but then gets ludicrously hard.

Stage 1
Stage 2 (the missing note might be because of a glitch with Famitracker. I don't know how it happens.
Stage 3
Stage 4

I'm not too versed in famitracker or 8-bit sounds in general but I feel like it could use that one synth er square er WHATEVER that sounds bubbly.
