I use gifcam to record the gifs (very nice), and sharex to upload them to imgur afterwards (also very nice)

you can use sharex to capture gifs doe

you can use sharex to capture gifs doe
I know
and that's useful for some things, but gifcam has an editor and can be paused and resumed and can record one frame at a time, which is good for other things

so im not really experienced in any language but ive been wanting to buckle down and learn something (game engine, language, w/e) and boodals suggested i try to make a game engine with sfml so i've spent the last few hours playing around with it

i decided with my very limited knowledge of sfml and c++ to attempt at making a tileset and map loader, and i finally got it working

its pretty good on memory and cpu too, and it's pretty fun to make so i might even develop this further

so for my "build a civilization then do whatever you want" game, should you be able to customize your species, or just customize your "emperor" as a plain human?

what if 'whatever i want' includes 'not be human'

what if "whatever I want" includes "be a furry"

well then you can't do whatever you want :^)

I don't support degeneracy, but I do support freedom of choice.

I wonder how hard it would be to pull this off

yo guys

I've released a Devlog video for my game HALT! You can clink the picture to watch it on Youtube. In the video I talk about the 4th level, and I discuss some of the enemies and game mechanics that I used.

The video also features the game's amazing music by Plastiware. If you wanna catch up, you can subscribe the my channel and follow me on Twitter and Tumblr.

bushido what is ur secret of working without getting a burnout

are you kidding i burn out all the time

the real secret is working on non-intensive stuff like concepts and fun things while you're burned out so you get excited for breakthroughs like the completion of major features that actually require concentration makes it look like you're always being productive even if more then half the time you're just richarding around

also, maintaining your body helps. vitamins, 3 meals a day, that kind of thing
