Author Topic: Trion's "Trove" Cube World (w/ building) style mmo  (Read 7034 times)

While I agree with this I can't help but feel bad for Wollay. He's been working so hard and for so long on Cube World and when he finally releases it this huge company comes out of nowhere and pretty much makes Cube World: The better version.

As cool as it looks, and as fun as it may be. I want Cube World to be more successful because Wollay's earned it.
By "Better Version" you mean micro-transactions right?

By the means that those cube/voxel games ever worked, I doubt there will be any microtransactions.
The deal now is if they would make it free or not.

Micro-transactions from this company is totally expected. They'll find a way to make this handicapped.

Time will tell.
Though I can agree with you.
Rift did however not have microtransactions when it costed money, going by this logic, if they will make Trove cost money it won't have microtransactions either.
If they make it free, oh well slap me with feet.

I do too, but we can't do anything about it. Cube-World could of been so much more, if only they had a team of skilled qualified developers.

so its basically cube world except with a actual company and BOLD OUTLINES

lol why are you so mad at wollay, at least you got a bloody game
Which do you think is worse? Giving birth to a baby and then leaving it to a dark alley or never having one in the first place?

Add aborting a baby and grow a sick baby and you have the game industry today.

Not their fault. Cube World is kind of completely stuff.

Am I the only one who was never hyped for the original Cube World game?

oh man, one screenshot and this already looks infinitely better than cube world, lol

I love how some people are just jumping on the wagon of "CubeWorld sucks" when, if I recall correctly, Cubeworld is only being developed by the two.

I love how people always misuse the word "bandwagon" as a group of people who don't like something.

This compared to Vox at least looks a ton better and is made by a better company.
Albeit: Vox is a crap copy of Cube Worlds that even got on Steam SOMEHOW.
blegh, i'm not a fan of vox either, but i've heard the creator of vox was posting progress on his game before anything about cube world came out. maybe that isn't correct, but in the vox thread a few people seemed confident that it was, so confident i've assumed they've gone back through the archives of both games.

OT:

i definitely have not jumped on a bandwagon. i anticipated cube world like a seven year old to christmas, i wanted that game so badly. and then it suddenly came out when i was on a trip through europe, and for like three weeks i had to live with the ache and pain of not being able to play it. i even purchased it from a hotel in italy, hah. then i finally got home, started up my computer, booted up the game basically cheering like i'd won a loving car; and i god damn hated it, and haven't been able to bring myself to touch it after just two hours of playing it that day.
