Look at the amount of people who buy virtual items in that.
Most of them aren't rich too.
Most are just average class people.

This isn't about TF2 anyways, all the stuff in TF2 is just for looks and the weapons are balanced, and you can get them normally without paying anyway.

Why is it that every time someone makes a fairly decent game, they have to forget it up brutally by adding micro-transactions that actually impact the player's game heavily?

some sort of milestone system went up, missed when it started but uh also

if you had an account, you probably received an email about some sort of weapon development contest, but i think it requires purchase of the alpha ($20+).

edit: nevermind, anyone and everyone can create both weapons and items for submission, you can also quite possibly get a free alpha access key!
