console gaming will probably only have one or two more generations
there's no reason not to just get a pc

though I am getting a PS4 for christmas, at least you don't have to pay to use stuff like youtube and the web browser

This is why you buy a console about a year after it comes out. By then, any defections are usually fixed.
Plus, the consoles are cheaper.
