basically this

If you can't make the training sessions the next best thing you can do is just get the ship blueprints from stocking and learn on your own in singleplayer

So since I changed from fighter to frigate, different stats:
IGN: AdinX (yes, same name, I use it everywhere)
Ship Name: ACE-1

Also, what specifically is the frigate's role? To my understanding, battle platforms are the main damage absorbers / largest ships, and frigates are smaller, intended for more damage dishing than damage receiving, meaning we gotta move around as possible, while still shooting.

I finished the tutorial, and I've read a few guides. I've made turrets, smart bombs, and small fighters, but nothing large enough that it has HALLWAYS. So that said, I'm unsure how piloting one of these ships will work, more specifically do I have to actually enter the frigate through a gate, find the bridge, turn on all the AI cannons manually, and take control of the ship from the helm? The only experience I have is building a little box of a ship with a bunch of RLs on it, pressing spacebar to go into flight mode, and then being obliterated by pirates.

Also, what will comr4de be flying?

The Fire Lilly frigate is relatively lightly-shielded but it's extremely fast and capable of running a radar jammer. A radar jammer makes your ship invisible to radar and untargetable by AI turrets, and it can run for 3 seconds before needing to recharge. This is enough time for the turrets that are focusing your frigate to completely lose you and force them to switch to a new target, preferably a drone, fighter or battleplatform.

The faster engines and extreme power-efficiency means that you can make rapid changes in direction to the point where a skilled pilot might even keep up with fighters. The main weapons are shotgun-array AMCs, which means really high DPS at close range and really easy to score hits with while your turrets do their thing.

Comr4de will be flying the battleplatform Gustav Max, which is a slightly outdated but wholly effective heavy capital ship.
