Might as well revise this now that we have more players to make things like this, but can someone make a player with better animations like walking using the support mod we have?

If I knew how to make animations, then I would do this.

We definitely need more animations, not necessarily replacements.

I always thought the running animation was pretty dull.  Just running around would probably be a lot more fun with a more energetic running animation.

also because im probably going to be eating my next meal off of or with something plastic

At least we don't have roblox level animations

Frankly I think the animation quality of the blockheads is actually quite good, even if it is rather simple.

The current animations are fine in my opinion.
They may be simple, but they have their own style which compliment Blockland as a whole.
And because of their simplicity, they are quick to activate and not to forget, process.

Maybe the crawling animation could be revised, it is just wiggling the player in a flat position.

A couple of new animations in the same style could be implemented.
I was thinking of a sprint animation: leaning forward, faster leg movement, little bit of jump in between steps and leaning to the sides in corners.
Other than that, I don't really know what should be added.

This was being asked for a long time ago and I agree with Plastiware that some animations such as the running animations in particular need some work but in Badspot's defence, it is quie difficult to make a running animation for a character who has no legs, and arms without changing the overall playertype which i'm sure he wont be doing. The running animation would look alot better with some things that make it actually look like the player is running such as bending kness etc. but as I stated already, it would mean that he would have to alter the current default playertype which I dont think has been changed since BL was released ( Alpha aparently had more lego looking playertypes, check Badspot's website for clearification). We could get new animations someday but I have much doubt that it will be any time soon sadly.

What we could do is get a char rig, use shaper to get all of the node-based body parts (the hats, like the woman/male torso and stuff) and completely re-do the nodes. Then re-rig the char and create new animations. It's like animating a whole new model except the model looks the same as the default one visually
