Do you (even if you already are/have)...

Wish you could be homeschooled?
Wish you could go to a private/public school?
Not care either way?
Want to drop out of school?
Want to play Blockland until the day you die?

Author Topic: What Do You Think About Homeschoolers?  (Read 7810 times)

Military School > Every other school

I don't think you can choose to be homeschooled in Poland. My friend is recovering from leukemia and he is being homeschooled.

I think people should stop being antisocial on purpose. Really come on.
Unsure as to the meaning of this statement...?

I'm homeschooled and tbh I mostly enjoy it.
it's nice being homeschooled

you get:
no annoying people
no bullies (if you care about that)
moar breaks (best thing ever)
easier to focus
etc...

what if the school district is absolute dogstuff and youd legit be better off homeschooled

This is exactly how it is for me.

I'd love to go to actual school, but that's just not an option considering what the local schools are like around here.

I usually am able to finish all my school in 4-5 hours.
this isn't relevant to your point

public/private schools have to have a certain amount of classtime depending on the area (and sometimes other things) for them to be acknowledged as a legitimate school

you get:
no annoying people
no bullies (if you care about that)
moar breaks (best thing ever)
easier to focus
learn to deal with the real world
rarely a problem, still something people have to learn to deal with
stop being a lazy ass
learn to focus

basically what you're telling me here is that homeschooling is the ultimate form of babying

My parents have 12 Professors who study with me at my Estate so you could say that I am educated at home. You can compare the two types of educational methods but there will never be a true victor. Both have thier own pros and cons that differ them from the other choice. Its more so about your preferences on how you want your child to be educated and that's never going to change unless the place you live is or becomes a place of dictatorship.

I doubt this, most places make it a law that you are somewhere earning atleast a basic education, even if this place is home but different places have different laws.

1. There are annoying people everywhere in the world, deal with the fact or die.

2. Bullying can happen everywhere and to anyone. You can't say there wont be any at home.

3. Just because you're home doesn't mean that your parent/guardian will give you more breaks.

4. Distractions can occur anywhere, you can't count this out either.

Just because you maybe homeschooled along these lines does not mean that everyone who is homeschooled will be. Not trying to make you feel bad or anything, just telling you that your experience wont be the same for everyone else.

clarification
Legal under restrictive conditions. Every homeschooled child must be supervised by an authorized school (can be a private school) and pass annual exams. Homeschooled children received diplomas from supervising school.

Homeschoolers are waste. They are like "Well I get to learn at my own pace". In the real world you don't get to work at your own pace, you work at the pace your boss want's you to work at.

Then there is the "Well I don't have to deal with people/bullies". The truth is people only pick on you if give them a reason to and talking to people is a normal human thing. There is no place in the world for autistic anti-social people. If you want to be a cop, you are going to have to talk to people and do a lot of public speaking. Social worker's cashiers all require some level of communication.

How ignorant can you get? You can get quite a bit of communication skills at home and school alike.  What if that person was the boss, and what if that person were hoemschooled? Or what about self-employment. Your comment is by far one of the stupidest things I have read on this forum. Heres a scale to clearify how stupid your comment is:

You comment makes a solid -1 on this scale, congratulations.

homeschooling has many advantages but honestly my house is way too distracting to be worth homeschooling
there's video games and TVs everywhere
plus i have ADHD so woopdedoo its nearly impossible to focus unless i'm in a portal-test-chamber-like sterile environment

You do know what the word sterile means correct? Not saying you are daft, just wanting to know why this would apply.

sterile in this context means a very plain environment. so yes it applies just fine

Sterile
A sterile person can't have kids, and a sterile environment is bland and boring. In both cases, sterile means lifeless.
When you hear about a sterile person, it means they can't have kids: sterile women can't get pregnant, and sterile men can't be fathers. But the concept of sterility applies to things, too. An empty, white room with nothing in it is sterile. And a surgeon's instruments better be sterile — meaning they're free from germs and bacteria.
