I played insertion

You just have to guard the hostages and the hostage point

but it is super CT-sided, and CT's win 70% of the matches.

If you play with an anything but perfect team they'll gradually peek/go outside of hostage area for picks and get sniped. Then you're at a player disadvantage and they win. It's total bs.
how can I get a knife without losing all of the little money i have?
you could get a stuffty knife for liek $40

maybe if i can sell my xbox i'll get a knife

After playing insertion I immediately took it off maps I want to play on and never looked back. We won by like 3 rounds but it was just so painful to play on it I wanted to cry.

The only maps I liked are Overgrown and Castle. Mist was okay but too confusing to get around. Black Gold was just... I don't even want to talk about it.
Haven't played on Rush, but I hate Hostage situations so I'm avoiding it.

was doing well in a match, then 3 people on the other team left and they surrendered
qq i wanted to play it out

To play Insertion as a T, you have to sneaky beaky like into the forest and knife everyone c:

I'm not sure if I'm getting generally lucky with my teams or if America is filled with plebs

I've been playing with some friends who are all legendary eagle master god bless america *shoots gun* tier and they've gotten me pretty fantastic at this game.

1st game:

rematch:

:^)

Half of the rounds I'm at like 0.6 kdr and then some rounds I get like 3.5
Is there any decent way to get better at this game fast

Find someone who plays competitive a lot and ask them to give pointers about strategies and such.

Some stuff I've learned:

- Unbind your reload and crouch keys until you understand when you need to use them (almost never.)
- Always buy armor if you can, even if it means running around with your default pistol. It's always better to have armor than a decent gun (although the pistol stomps fools.)
- You are not a 360noscope awp user. Don't buy one.
- Any noise you hear your player make, the other team can hear as well (running, reloading, switching weapons, etc.) If you want to be a super secret squirrel, walk near enemies using shift.
- Kill enemies before attempting to diffuse the bomb.
- Utilize the various grenades that you can buy. Just remember that the decoy replicates your exact weapon, so if you have a silencer it isn't that effective.
- Speaking of silencers, don't take them off any weapons that have them (m4a1-s, usp-s.) They are there for a reason.
- If you are defending one bomb site, and the enemy is rushing the other, attempt to flank them from behind on the way to that bomb site.

know when to buy and know when to save

im getting stuff premade after stuff premade and its really bringing down my rank. need serious help asap

i'm a 360noscope awp user though

man the p250 is good
i had no idea it was so good

some tips, from a gn1 so take them with a grain of salt:
  • crouchwalking? dont do it. there is like no reason to do it. if you need silence, walk. you should only be crouching every once in a while (to hide your head behind cover,  basically when it makes sense)
  • when you die, think about what you did wrong that might have gotten you there. it'll help you apply what you know. sometimes you'll die because you died, not because you messed up.
  • learn how to use your nades, and what they're for. decoys for mindgames. smoke for cutting off entrances or splitting bomb sites. flashbangs for entry. HE grenades for killing or causing chaos. molotovs are better for flushing out rooms than they are for cutting off entrances. you only take 20-40dmg if you kniferun through flames.
  • reload with caution
  • COMMUNICATE. even if you solo queue. if you're CT, make sure you have people guarding every area. if you're T, make sure to pick a strategy before the planning period ends. generally you should provide very factual observations like "2 Ts in tunnels" not "Ts are in tunnels!" to avoid confusing your teammates. report awps and where enemies are. make sure your voice bind is in a place that you can press while crouching, walking, running, gunning, etc. (i use V)
  • learn to use lots of guns. arms race helps a lot.
