ranking down because you suck is not smurfing.

If you have enough implied confidence in the ranking system that you want to be in a lower rank, and even had to game the system to get there, you have enough confidence in the ranking system that you should trust the rank it's given you. This is less a paradox and more just that you're stupid.

Smurfing isn't about getting a lower rank because you believe you're at that skill level, its about getting a lower rank to purposefully grief lower skilled players.

but it's bright and it sticks out, and most skins that stick out and are bright are above my price range, this one is relatively cheap and it's for a gun i actually use and enjoy using

That you think you belong in a lower rank implies that you trust the rank system enough that the lower rank is the one you belong in, when in actuality, the rank you have is rank you belong in. There is no such thing as "I should be -x- rank", because you are in the rank you belong in.

but it's still a gross blue color
varicamo sticks out and looks much better

I'm partial to the M4A1-S Basilisk. It looks nice at all wear levels, getting darker as it gets closer to BS. A MW is like a dollar.

To be fair, everyone is better than him. His real rank is "VAC banned," after all. I wish more games had Titanfall's "Wimbledon of aimbots" set-up so that he would be forced to just play against other cheaters.
