The only point where you deserve rank X is when you can carry yourself out of rank Y up until rank X. If you can no longer single-handedly carry yourself out of a rank, that's the rank you deserve.
i know i misworded what i said yesterday, but i'm pretty sure you know how to fix a sentence for yourself without posting memes instead.

By "carry yourself out" do you mean solo queue or carry the whole team?

I mean it as playing well enough to be on- or above par compared to your teammates, and showing enough team-play such as supportive frags, entry frags, proper 'nade behavior, and enemy calling, to be able to keep your team winning.
I know plenty of people that are complaining about how they always top-frag but lose, I know that often the case is that they might be good at killing, but their teamplay is subpar, effectively not helping their team win. The problem could be baiting, not supporting, making bad 'nades, bad calls or no calls at all. This effectively could make your team lose.

Yesterday I played a match against enemies that were very easy. I was top-fragging and even had an ace in one round. We lost by about 6 rounds  however, the reason why is because we were all loving around, pretending to be Mexican for some reason. No enemy-calls at all and thus very rushed tactics, which is effectively just as bad as having no communication at all, and that is what makes you lose even though you top-frag.

If you solely top-frag without actually caring about 'nades and teamplay, yeah you're going to end up in the lower ranks with the illusion to yourself that you deserve better, just because your name is at the top of a score list. If you truly deserved a higher rank, you would be able to do what I said above and help your team win.

Side note: don't care so much about your rank, you're playing because you like CS:GO, not because you like the satisfaction of your little shiny plaque getting more shiney. (I hope.)

so if your team is bad then you should stay in that rank

gotcha

because I call out people coming from places all the time and they don't do anything about it

that's not my fault

2-30 comp win/loss ratio

im still unranked jesus christ

I'm sure these matches are uncommon, I rarely get teamed up with people that don't play seriously, especially in the NA scene. There is no way that you commonly get four people in a team that are not playing serious or very badly over-ranked.

he does have a ton of other games, so he might have just got a vac ban in one of those.
