Author Topic: Internet Neutrality laws are gone, ISPs can now block websites.  (Read 6053 times)

Why should the government get to decide the extent of a service provided by a private company? Net neutrality laws were interfering with the free market.

they can't block stuff, there will always be a way to bypass it, like: navigating directly with ip addresses, foreign proxies, tor, etc

sadly, this is true.

They think they can stop people from accessing websites by removing domain names from their records

This is why I voted for Romney

this has to be unconstitutional in some way.

i dont know how letting private companies determine what access they sell you to a service is unconstitutional

>ISP blocks website
>customers go to new ISP
>old ISP loses money

Pretty sure blocking websites would be bad for the company

yeah thats kind of how the free market works

you all voted for him
Libertarian here, granted that's not any better in this case.

Yeah let's blame this all on Obama and not on our society being handicapped as whole.

Cool, now ISPs can throw away customers by blocking their favorite websites.
