Similar to when Sony patented the technologies to show ads during gameplay, and even slow gameplay to a pause to show an ad, and everyone exploded even though they never actually included the technology in anything yet.
They patented it to prevent people from using it, because they knew it would completely suck and ruin all the games!

So any internet distributor can block any site?

Maybe ISPs will step it up and block research for all those under 18 to keep the poor minds of the children clean and safe.
