Cops know the law better than you do. I'm pretty sure it was justified.
How..?

Pretty sure it wasnt justified.

Did the cop see/smell drugs or alcohol? Did Raven admit to anything? no
Suspicious behavior. Any normal person would awnser no and be on thier way.

Obviously wasn't justified if he ended up in the back of a cop car.
You deserved it. Awnser the question next time.

YOUR RIGHTS
- You have the right to remain silent. If you wish to exercise that right, say so out loud. good
- You have the right to refuse to consent to a search of yourself, your car or your home. This is good. OP is fine here
- If you are not under arrest, you have the right to calmly leave. Doable
- You have the right to a lawyer if you are arrested. Ask for one immediately. Doable
- Regardless of your immigration or citizenship status, you have constitutional rights. Good and doable

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Do stay calm and be polite. Oops
- Do not interfere with or obstruct the police.
- Do not lie or give false documents.
- Do prepare yourself and your family in case you are arrested.
- Do remember the details of the encounter.
- Do file a written complaint or call your local ACLU if you feel your rights have been violated.

You deserved it. Awnser the question next time.
I said HE, not me. I went home unscathed lol. Good job reading mate.

you're a douche. poor cop

you're a douche. poor cop
not really poor. if you're not doing your job right then you don't need to have that job

- Do stay calm and be polite. Oops
I was calm and polite throughout the situation. Calling him sir and what not. Also had my license, registration and insurance ready.

You completely failed to imply this and made it seem like you had taken a rude approach

good job

Pretty sure it wasnt justified.

you forget raven may be withholding information to make him seem like he's in the right. but given that he admitted to outright refusing to answer a simple question, and in a richardish way, i think the cop had probable cause to search his car

How..?
they went to law school, that's how

Suspicious behavior. Any normal person would awnser no and be on thier way.
basically what i've been saying the whole time

I was calm and polite throughout the situation. Calling him sir and what not.
passive-aggressiveness isn't much better

this entire story is a load of horse stuff. i mean god damn who here is gullible enough to actually believe this story?

Whoops.

I don't belive the cop would've been arrested for something like that.

How exactly can you say that? thousands of people pass through checkpoints every day and could easily do what I did if the officer wasn't aware of their rights.

My thoughts on how calling the police went:

"Yeah this cop pulled me out of my car and ransacked my things."
<chitchat on locations and stuff>
<hangs up>

How exactly can you say that? thousands of people pass through checkpoints every day and could easily do what I did if the officer wasn't aware of their rights.
yeah but they don't get arrested for it
they wouldn't get fired, either

Why wouldn't he know his own rights? He's a citizen too he has the same rights.
