Why RTB going be Shutdown?

Wait this is a theory on why I think RTB is going down.

There shutting it down because badspot might be addmin a new type of MOD API or something that is like RTB. I might be wrong.

prolly not. i mean why shut down something that works perfectly fine. just to replace it with something that might not be as good.
it might be shutting down because baddy is implementing into the game as default. but who really knows (other than them obviously)

So what'll happen after RTB's gone with servers that use different RTB prefs for various add-ons (such as the Duplicator)? Will those settings just go away and you'll be stuck with the add-on's default settings? Or will there somehow be a way to change the settings

well im not all that sure how the server prefs work, but it looks like it will function just as normally as before. i can use server prefs on a PC with no internet connection so that would be no different.

yes. he might not be developing anymore but he might still moderate.

wow i totally missed Ephi's post. still though i dont think he gave a reason for why he shut it down, "I dont have any plans for it" isnt a good enough excuse to destroy something you've been working on for years. there is another reason. my theory is he either got tired of managing it and wants to move on in his life, or he cant afford it anymore. i might be wrong but those sound like the most reasonable ones.

Just to clarify a few things, RTB development is over and as you can see it will cease to exist beyond March 1st. As it stands, I won't be playing any part in the future of Blockland's development either. This isn't a trick - I genuinely have no plans for Blockland or RTB.

I'll put together a tarball of all submitted add-ons at some point to make downloading everything easier.

RTB Hosting will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.

well im getting the feeling that ephi is just done with RTB. so if RTB will continue it will have to be Baddy or Rotondo who takes over, which it doesnt look like they will. RTB might possibly be gone forever.

So how will we make RTB Prefs and such? A lot of mods rely on these, I guess Kalphiter will have to release Blockland Cloud early
