Just bought Blockland, but wtf

Considering how many people care about this game, and how active the forums are for there to be more people, not just 400, I mean Garry's Mod is also $9 and it has like 2000+ players on at a time, why is this?

Are Garry's Mod and Blockland the same game? No.

There are way more players on Gmod.

And some IDs are reserved, others are alts, and not everyone can play at every moment of the day, so there are some times where some players leave and join, unlike GMod, where there are so many players you cant see the diference.

1. Garry's Mod is not Blockland.

2. Garry's mod isn't even $9 - sale or not.

3. Garry's mod is big budget and is more popular. Badspot is an indie developer (believe it or not)

4. What is your question exactly?

I see what you mean, but remember this is Blockland not Roblox where kids are on it for hours each day, whining to there parents about builder's club. Most people here have other stuff to do at home (insert love joke here).

not everyone who plays wants/needs to always be hosting a multiplayer game. many projects you do on your own

We're a small community. Also the forums are so active all the time because the off-topic section contains its own little community where people interact a ton.

Have you been living under a rock for the past 6-7 years?
Go take a look at garry's mod for yourself, the pricing has never changed with the exception of sales:

...No, it isn't big budget, it was made by an (at the time) indie developer as well.

The reason is like everybody else says: it's a smaller community

This is actually a great question. Not sure there's a definitive answer

its because this game is structured in a way that you cant just pop open a server with darkRP installed and get 60 players in a few minutes. you actually have to build something extra special and original or it'll flop like a pile of stuff.

this was amplified by the removal of maps, so you can't just load up GCF paradise nowadays and create a grand theft auto RP

This isn't Gmod. That pile of stuff is going down hill anyway. Garry broke stuff and now devs are leaving for better things.
Also you don't need to buy/install 20+ games to enjoy Blockland.

I would think that over 2 million people own garry's mod, while like only 50,000 people own blockland
