new solution: be snooty and live in argentina

my high school is neo-national socialist, you're allowed on... their homepage, their forum, google, youtube and one other. Google allows you onto any website that doesn't have the words "Proxy" "research" any rude/vulgar language and a ton of other filters, I could hardly get a youtube video about a song, I had to go searching through videos to see what ones played the song I was after.

happy? I doubt they'd do that anyway, proxy is a legitimate word that has other uses than disguising network traffic.

My school does indeed do the word filter thing though. I've tried hosting a proxy myself and it was blocked until I changed the directories name :y

But yeah,

Jesus christ, your schools are national socialists.

that sums it up pretty well

get a proxy app on your phone, or just nag someone to get you a phone with it's own connection, so you can connect to it via hotspot on computer if needed.

Hotspot Shield

This got me through high school. And I didn't pay for it, just use the free option if they ask you to pay.

the forums are literally the only place i can't connect to when i'm at school :(

Jesus christ, your schools are national socialists. Mine literally only blocks specific addresses.

aaannd the proxy I mentioned earlier is blocked.
They monitor the activity and block everything.

What do you mean?
Google Translate lets you translate a site from one language to another and gives you an option to see the site in its original language. Even better, schools can't block Google Translate without blocking Google.

Itt people don't release the https trick doesn't work on servers that don't have ssl
For example, blockland forums

http://centhra.com/proxy/

It's not blocked anywhere because it's my personal domain so, y'know.
It's blocked here.

The Webroot proxy my school uses flags new websites as "Unknown" and thus, blocks them.
OpenDNS (when the proxy server isn't set on the computer), on the other hand, doesn't.

Though I have no problem getting on the forums at school, though.
The forums are flagged as "Personal Sites and Blogs" and are "Coached" (aka I can access them, but my activity will be monitored).

Edit:
