I've been seeing my friends play this game a lot and I don't really see what they find so interesting in it.
if someone could explain to me why this thing is as good as people treat it that would be nice.

i got invaded so many times i gave up
i'd get a load of money and aim on upgrading something then i'd get raided constantly and lose it all

Back in school last year my friend was always playing it, he showed me how he was 1st on this leaderboard but I don't remember what scale it was on, pretty sure he went on about how he was a top dog on the game lol.

The game has a learning curve. I recommend researching good strategies before you jump right into it. You start with green gems, don't spend those until you can afford a third builder's hut.

It takes a ridiculously long time to get a high level town. I find it fun even though it is so slow. My town hall is level 8, my troops are level five.

i used to play the stuff out of it last year but then i stopped when i realized it was just a stuffty game

You need to start realising the difference about a GOOD phone game and a stuff one.

One which requires real money to get anywhere is a stuff game, no matter how fun you think it is, you will get to a part where its just too boring and give up.
try and go for games which aren't free, ones that cost (in my country) 69 pence lol 69

Its a terrible game, a lot of these strategy ones on phones are crap and I would not recommend them

that and people keep raiding my base so i just gave up and stopped playing.
also you have to wait a really long time for stuff to build, unless you have money to throw at the devs.

i check in every now and then and upgrade stuff and collect money, i dont know what you guys mean about getting raided constantly you can get up to 16 hours of shield from a good raid
